JULIANNE SWANEPOEL is a Tomatis® Practitioner Level 1 based in New Plymouth who has spent her entire professional career teaching. It began in South Africa, then Botswana and New Zealand. She has always had an interest in brain function, processing and learning.
Julianne holds a Dip Co TESOL and a Post Grad in Specialist Teaching with an endorsement in ASD.
She also has a certification in Brain Dominance Profiling, has completed a Screener course in HANDLE® therapy, and recently the Incredible Years Program in Taranaki.
Julianne has been a teacher, a principal of two Early Childhood Centres, worked in Special Needs supporting children with severe neurological disorders as well as with children needing extra learning support in inclusive classroom settings.
In 2016, Julianne contributed a chapter to the book ‘Autism Spectrum Disorder in Aotearoa New Zealand’ Jill Bevan-Brown & Vijaya Dharan (Editors). The book won Best Resource in Higher Education award in 2016, instituted by Copyright Licensing NZ.
